Pst Adejola Hails Nigeria Democracy, Calls For More Improvement

Pastor Adejola has hailed Nigeria’s democracy and called for more improvement to consolidate the gains of democratic governance in the country. The pastor, who is also an All Progressives Congress chieftain, made this call in a press statement to commemorate Democracy Day.

Pastor Adejola described democracy as the best form of government that allows for freedom and equality for all citizens regardless of their political affiliations or social status. He further noted that democracy has provided opportunities for Nigerians to express themselves freely and participate in governance, which has helped to consolidate the nation’s democratic institutions.

He however, noted that though Nigeria’s democracy has come a long way since the restoration of democracy in 1999, there is still a need for more improvement to ensure that democratic governance delivers its dividends to all Nigerians. He stated that the government needs to do more to address issues of insecurity, poor governance, and corruption, which are major setbacks to the country’s democratic progress.

The pastor also encouraged Nigerians to continue to maintain the spirit of unity and strive towards a common goal of building a prosperous nation. He further called on citizens to support the government in its efforts to transform the country by holding their leaders accountable and participating actively in the democratic process.

Pastor Adejola commended the efforts of civil society organizations, the media, and other stakeholders in promoting democracy, adding that their contributions have helped to strengthen democracy in Nigeria over the years.

He wishes Nigerians a prosperous journey as democracy continues to deepen, happy democracy day Nigerians
